Or a daughter arranging a roof repair for her mother in Lakewood asks if there is a senior rate. Or a firefighter in Spanaway mentions his station schedule while we are finding an inspection time. The answer to all three is yes, and we would rather you not have to ask apologetically. So here is exactly how our discounts work, who qualifies, and why we offer them.
Who Qualifies
We offer discounts to three groups:
- Seniors. Homeowners in their retirement years, many of whom are maintaining a home on a fixed income and have owned it long enough to be on their second or third roof.
- Military. Active duty, reserves, and veterans. Service at any point qualifies — this is not limited to current service members.
- First responders. Firefighters, law enforcement, EMTs, and paramedics.
If you fall into more than one category, you still receive the discount — it applies once per project, but it applies.
How to Claim It: Just Mention It When Scheduling
This is the part we want to be clearest about. There are no coupon codes. There is nothing to print, no promotion to find on a website before it expires, no fine print to decode. When you call to schedule your free estimate or inspection, simply mention that you are a senior, a service member or veteran, or a first responder. That is the entire process. Our office notes it, and the discount is reflected in your estimate from the start.
We built it this way on purpose. Coupon codes reward the people who hunt for deals. A standing discount rewards the people it is meant for, every time, without a game attached.
Why We Offer It
Some of this is simple geography. Joint Base Lewis-McChord sits right in the middle of the Pierce County communities we serve. Lakewood, Spanaway, Tacoma — these are towns full of military families, and when our crews work those neighborhoods, we are often putting roofs over the homes of people who have spent years being moved around by the service. Giving them a better price on the home they finally get to keep is the least complicated decision we make.
The rest of it comes from being locally owned and operated in the Greater Puget Sound area for 30+ years. Our crews live here. The first responders who qualify for our discount are the same people who show up when something goes wrong on a job site or in our own neighborhoods. The seniors who qualify include customers who first hired us decades ago. A discount is a small thing, but it is our way of acknowledging that these are the people who hold the communities we work in together.
The Discount Combines With Everything Else We Offer
A common question: does taking the discount mean giving something else up? No. The discount works alongside everything else.
- Financing through Enhancify. The discount applies to the project price first, and then you can finance the discounted amount. Enhancify offers instant qualification, and checking your options does not affect your credit. As always, we recommend comparing with your own bank before committing.
- Full warranty coverage. A discounted project gets the same materials and the same warranties — 50-year shingles, 45–50 year manufacturer warranties, and eligibility for the GAF Golden Pledge Warranty on qualifying installations.

It Applies to More Than Replacements
The discount is not reserved for full roof replacements. It applies across our services: repairs, emergency work, extruded seamless gutter installation and repair, and gutter guard upgrades. A retired homeowner in Tacoma who needs a section of gutters replaced gets the discount the same as a family at JBLM replacing an entire roof.
